Connection before crisis.Crisis support: Call 988

The way we work

Five pillars.
One purpose.

A practical way to turn care into thoughtful, coordinated community action.

Identify

Notice where Veterans may be losing touch—during transition, at work, online, or in rural communities. Reach out privately and with permission, without labeling people or making lists of those presumed at risk.

Invite someone who has stopped coming to the usual gathering.

Connect

Build voluntary relationships through shared interests and community activities. A meaningful connection continues beyond a click or a single introduction.

Suggest an activity they enjoy, then make time to meet again.

Equip

Help people find prevention education and trusted support. Training and accreditation remain the responsibility of the provider.

Check what a service offers and how to reach it before passing it on.

Coordinate

Introduce Veterans to existing organizations with their permission. Agree on what to share and who will take the next step.

Introduce someone to a named contact instead of forwarding a general website.

Measure

Use verified, aggregate activity to learn what helps people connect. Connections do not equal lives saved; outcome claims need evidence and evaluation.

Ask whether an introduction was useful, then improve the next one.
